As per the Madras High Court judgement dated 30.1.2012 in WP 12805/2011 and the reverification process done by the Department it has been again proved that the National Union of Gramin Dak Sevaks is not eligible for recognition.

1. Regularise GDS as Government employees.
2. Grant Bonus ceiling of Rs. 3500/- to GDS at par with Departmental employees.
3. Implement recommendations of Group of Officers Committee was
headed by V.P. Singh DDG (Esst.)-Regarding TRCA Protection etc.
4. Implement Rastriya Swastya Bhima Yojana (Medical Scheme) to GDS immediately.
5. Grant Compassionate appointments for all,
6. Grant ACP promotion (10/20/30 years) or financial upgradation to GDS.
7. Stop abolition of GDS posts and filling up of all vacant posts.
8. Grant All Allowances, advances and other benefits at par with departmental employees.

Extension of trade union facilities to the Circle Secretary, AIPEDEU
Dear Comrades,
It is hereby intimated to all the Divisional Secretaries of Odisha Circle that I have been nominated by the Circle President to act as Circle Secretary and the Chief Postmaster General vide Letter no.WL/21-13/2010 dated 29.6.12 has extended trade union facilities to my union and I have been extended with the facilities of Circle Secretary, AIPEDEU, ODISHA CIRCLE officially. Very short we will organise for holding of Circle Working Committee Meeting and the date and venue will be communicated to all concerned by Post/email and through this Blog also.
This is my first letter to all.
I promise to all the GDS comrades of our Circle that I will behold the dignity of trade union movements and I will work delicately for the welfare of our GDS employees. For this I request all my Divisional Secretaries and Presidents to cooperate with me and communicated me regarding the important matters and events occurring in your Division as well as problems faced by your division employees. Our GDS employees are facing worst problems in the Department of Posts and we need to take effective steps to remove all the hurdles coming in our way unitedly and with a proper mechanism and procedure.
Com. S S Mahadevaiah, General Secretary, CHQ, New Delhi has personally requested me to manage Odisha Circle in a smooth way and try to solve the problems of our GDS employees.
